Accessibility Statement

Coastal Vacation Rentals wants every guest and owner to be able to use this website and book a stay with us. This statement explains the standard we work to, what we have done, and how to reach a person if something is in your way.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard the U.S. Department of Justice uses for websites under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and we are working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Accessibility is ongoing work. We audit the site, fix what we find, and re-test after changes.

What we have done

• Every page can be navigated by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a skip link to the main content.
• Images carry text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Text and controls meet the WCAG color-contrast minimums.
• Forms have labels, instructions, and error messages that assistive technology can read.
• Moving content such as scrolling reviews and the home-page video can be paused, and the site respects your reduced-motion setting.
• Pop-ups, menus, the photo gallery, and the date picker work with a keyboard and close with the Escape key.
• Pages use clear headings and landmarks, and every page has a descriptive title.

Accessible stays

Each property page has an Accessibility section listing the features recorded for that home. Because every home is different, we ask that you call us before booking so a member of our local team can confirm the specifics that matter to you, such as steps at the entrance, elevator access, doorway and hallway widths, bathroom layout, parking, and the path to the beach or pool.

Known limitations

• Some content is provided by third parties, including the live chat widget, embedded maps, and the secure payment form. We ask those providers to meet the same standard and will help you complete any task by phone if a third-party tool is a barrier.
• Photos supplied by property owners may have short descriptions. Tell us if a description is not enough and we will describe the space for you.
